²³ But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.

²³ Verse 23. He answered her not a word.] Seemed to take time to

consider her request, and to give her the opportunity of

exercising her faith, and manifesting her fervour.
