Background
Austin Chinese Church Mandarin congregation currently has 300 people in regular Sunday attendance. With the anticipated growth of Austin’s Mandarin speaking population in the next few years, our vision is for the Mandarin congregation to grow to 500. A Mandarin Pastor or Mandarin Associate Pastor is needed to assist in shepherding the congregation and enabling the growth.

Job Description
The Mandarin Pastor is to work under the guidance of the Leading Mandarin Pastor and the main responsibility is expected to be in caring and fellowship and in assisting other duties. Specifically,
1.    Working with the Leading Mandarin Pastor and fellowship leaders to establish the best fellowship/small-group programs to enable spiritual growth and evangelical outreach
2.    Coordinating fellowship/small-group based caring and visitation programs
3.    Leading the establishment of a caring team to provide family and individual counseling
4.    Planning, leading and coordinating fellowship outreach programs
5.    Assist in other pastoral duties, such as preaching and teaching.

Qualifications:
1.    Beliefs.
A.   Needs to hold to the Bible as the Inspired, Inerrant Word of God that is the final authority for Christian faith and life.
B.   Has clear calling from God for pastoral ministry
C.   Must agree with ACC's Statement of Faith.

2.    Special qualifications.
A.   Burden to evangelize, especially to Mainland Chinese
B.   Demonstrated leadership in ministry
C.   Ability to initiate and develop ministries
D.   Able to work in team environment
E.   A strong role of a Godly family loving & serving Lord together

3.    Education.
     Master’s degree or above from an accredited Seminary in North America

4.    Experience.
A.   Experience in Pastoring and Caring highly desirable
B.   Experience in Mainland Chinese ministry in North America preferred

5.    Status.
          Being married is highly preferable. If married, there should be a strong growing relationship together.

6.    Testimony
A.   According to 1 Peter 5:1-4, and
B.   1 Timothy 3:1-7
